To prevent spread of the Ceratocystis fungus, It is important to thoroughly clean your boots and gear whenever you’ve been working or hiking in an area with known Rapid ‘Ōhi‘a Death infection. Here, Big Island Invasive Species Committee volunteers get an alcohol spray and boot scrubbing after working near Lava Tree State Monument.
